Threads of Intrigue (Solo Journal TTRPG)
A downloadable game
When a noble is at a fitting, they only see what’s in the mirror before them— their jewels, their fine silks, their own faces. They don’t think twice about the tailor crouched beside them, listening in…
'Threads of Intrigue' is a one-page Solo Journal TTRPG where you play as a spy masquerading as a court tailor. Using tarot cards and coin flips you will journal your time as a tailor in court and the juicy details you'll pass on to your client.
Will you bring dark secrets to light? Or will you be found out?
This is a Princess Sword game, based on Anna Anthropy’s Princess with a Cursed Sword, available at w.itch.io . Thank you, Anna!
CREATOR'S NOTE:
This is my first Solo-Journal TTRPG, so I am open to (kind and brief) feedback. If you decide to post your play-through anywhere, feel free to share it with me! Happy spying~

Ooo - just reading this, I immediately love how flipping heads means both good and bad outcomes. Definitely interested to try this!
Oh my gosh, I came up with this whole plot of love, betrayal, and theft. It was great. I had so much fun. And I escaped!!
I know there's not much room on the page, but having no prompts for the intro scene where the tailor arrives at court was a bit of a struggle. It wasn't a huge issue though--my character slipped past some performers and came in as a travelling tailor/merchant.
I like to sew, so having a game themed around embroidery was immensely satisfying.
Ahh thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed <3 You're absolutely right about the one-page struggle- it was so hard trying to fit everything, especially since this was my first game. Thank you for the sweet words and for playing <3
My absolute pleasure! ^^
Inspired by Garak from DS9, by any chance?
Nope! I have no idea who or what that is, unfortunately. 😅
The Star Trek Deep Space 9 show featured an exiled Cardassian tailor, Elim Garak, who was also a spy and assassin.
oh WOW I did not realize there was a startrek character like that. Gonna ad that to my watch list~ thank you!
